About the Role
We are currently seeking Certified Drainlayers to join our team. This position requires strong communication skills, as you will be working closely with clients. We value individuals who can work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Our projects encompass a range of sectors, including residential, commercial, and civil works, such as piling, retaining walls, and full-scope drainage.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Excavating trenches and laying pipes in accordance with project specifications.
- Operating heavy machinery, including excavators, rollers, and loaders.
- Communicating effectively with managers and construction teams to meet daily, weekly, and key milestone targets.
- Leading health and safety initiatives across all aspects of the work.
- Taking on the opportunity to be a Team Leader, if desired.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- PGDB Registered, Certified Drainlayer.
- A minimum of three years of experience in civil, residential, and commercial drainlaying within New Zealand.
- Experience with retaining walls is preferred.
- Familiarity with operating heavy machinery and diggers is desirable.
- WTR endorsements are highly desirable.
- A Class 2 or, ideally, a Class 4 New Zealand Driver's License.
- The ability to pass all pre-employment checks.
