About the Role
We are currently seeking an Administration Officer for a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Feilding. This role offers a friendly and supportive team environment with working hours from Monday to Friday.
As an Administration Officer, you will provide essential support and administrative services to our busy Community Corrections team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing reception duties such as answering phones, taking messages, greeting visitors, coordinating meetings, and managing general administrative tasks.
- Liaising with various organizations and services that we collaborate with.
- Preparing court documents and managing filing tasks.
- Purchasing materials and conducting stocktaking.
- Managing records and ensuring that correspondence, reports, and other documentation adhere to departmental timelines and standards.
- Providing administrative support to the leadership team while contributing to site health and safety.
You will interact with vulnerable members of the community upon their arrival at our Community Corrections office, so comfort in this environment is essential.
About You
We are looking for individuals who have a genuine interest in our mission and are motivated to support others in a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong experience and knowledge in office administration.
- Proficiency in computer software and database systems, particularly the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), with a willingness to learn new systems quickly.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities, adaptability, multitasking skills, and the capability to meet deadlines.
- The ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with a diverse range of individuals.
- Resilience in handling challenging situations in dynamic environments and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Alignment with our departmental values that shape our work culture.
While previous experience in the government sector or a similar environment that involves working with legislation and policies is desirable, it is not essential. A full New Zealand Driver Licence is required for this position.
Applicants must be New Zealand citizens, New Zealand Resident Permit holders, Australian citizens, or Australian residents who hold a current Australian Resident Return Visa.
Benefits
The salary for this role ranges from $60,216 to $63,789 per annum. Appointment and remuneration will reflect the skills and experience relevant to the role.
