    Description

About the Company At Pinnacle, we are dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of our communities, particularly through our commitment to Māori and Pasifika populations. We believe that healthcare is more than just a profession; it is a calling that allows us to make a meaningful impact on people's lives. We strive to uphold the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, ensuring that our approach is rooted in partnership, participation, and protection. About the Role We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for an experienced leader to join us as a School Nurse at Fraser High School. In this critical role, you will support youth health by empowering young people to manage their own health and well-being. You will help them understand how to access the health services they need, while championing tikanga in health equity. Working under the guidance of the Clinical Nurse Educator, you will be part of a collaborative team, yet you will also have the autonomy to work independently within the school environment. This position requires a commitment of 21 to 28 hours per week, aligning with school terms. About You We are looking for a passionate individual who is dedicated to working with young people and addressing health inequities, particularly for Māori, Pacific youth, rainbow young people, care-experienced youth, and those who experience disabilities. The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements: - Be a Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate. - Have a minimum of five years of nursing experience, with a preference for candidates who have worked with youth. - Demonstrate comfort in working autonomously in a culturally safe and responsive manner. - Be a culturally responsive and inclusive team member who respects diverse beliefs and practices and is committed to the principles of Tikanga Māori. - Exhibit a high level of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality. - Be passionate about providing quality health services that meet the needs of children, young people, and their whānau. - Hold a current and valid NZ Driver's license. - Leadership qualities are advantageous, though not essential. Benefits Joining our team comes with several benefits, including: - A supportive team environment that values collaboration. - The opportunity to work alongside skilled professionals who are dedicated to promoting health and well-being. - A workplace culture that prioritizes a healthy work-life balance, offering flexible work arrangements to suit your unique circumstances. - Access to professional supervision and ongoing training. - A commitment to your health and well-being, which includes medical insurance, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services, and free flu vaccinations. About the Team Our clinical teams at Pinnacle are united by a common goal: to improve health equity and wellness in our communities. We are passionate about delivering care where it is needed most and appreciate the daily challenges and opportunities that come with this work. If you share our passion and are ready to bring your purpose to life, we would be thrilled to have you join our team.
