About the Role
We are seeking a Charge Nurse Manager to join our Orthopaedic clinics. In this role, you will be responsible for the effective management of the clinics, which serve more than 30,000 patients annually. Your leadership will focus on managing the people, systems, processes, and resources necessary for clinically safe, efficient, and effective service delivery.
As the Charge Nurse Manager, you will provide clinical and professional leadership to our team, ensuring that quality standards are met while contributing to the strategic direction of the Orthopaedic clinic. You will work closely with the Operations Manager and Clinical Leader to develop and implement new models of care. The role is primarily based at Wellington Regional Hospital, but you will also have a presence at Kenepuru Hospital and Te Wao Nui (Children’s Hospital) where services are delivered.
About You
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Previous leadership experience, preferably in an orthopaedic setting
- A current Annual Practicing Certificate
- A relevant post-graduate qualification or progress towards one
- Experience in leading quality improvement and change initiatives
- An understanding of the significance and obligations of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, supporting its principles within the service
