About the Role We are excited to announce a unique opportunity for a qualified Baker to join our team as our new Product Development Innovator. If you are an experienced baker looking for your next challenge, we would love to have a conversation with you. In this role, you will not only create delicious breads, pastries, and cakes but also lead the way in developing innovative new products that will enhance our bakery offerings. You will be responsible for ensuring a wide range of high-quality baked goods are available for sale during trading hours, contributing to the dynamic and fast-paced environment of our bakery department. This permanent, full-time position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with specific days and hours to be discussed during the interview process. It is essential to be available to work at least one weekend day. Your Key Responsibilities - Master the craft of baking exceptional breads, pastries, and cakes - Drive innovation by developing new recipes and products that push creative boundaries - Collaborate closely with our team to refine and launch exciting new bakery items - Support the evolution of our bakery operations to facilitate continuous product innovation Requirements - Qualification as a Baker (Level 4) with substantial hands-on experience in bread, pastry, and cake production - A creative, entrepreneurial mindset focused on new product development - A proactive team player eager to contribute ideas and see them through to fruition - Outstanding baking skills with a focus on product presentation in a high-volume bakery setting - Ability to plan and prioritize workload effectively - Excellent knowledge of Food, Health, and Safety processes - Physically fit and able to lift up to 20 kg - Punctual, flexible, honest, and reliable - Strong focus on teamwork, communication, and relationship building Benefits Joining our team means having the opportunity to express your creativity in a flexible and supportive work environment.
