About the Role
We are excited to announce an opportunity to join our Rowena Jackson Retirement Village in Invercargill as a Caregiver in our Special Care Unit. In this full-time role, you will work five nights a week, totaling 37.5 hours, providing compassionate care to our wonderful residents who require support in their journey with dementia.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing residents and providing engaging activities.
- Following individual care plans to deliver care that meets the highest standards, as if for your own family members.
- Building meaningful relationships with residents and their families.
- Utilizing our purpose-built care app, myRyman, to enhance care delivery.
- Taking the time to understand each resident’s background and preferences to help them enjoy life to the fullest.
About You
To succeed in our caring and supportive environment, you will bring:
- Experience in dementia care.
- A strong sense of empathy and outstanding communication skills.
- A kind and professional demeanor.
- Reliability and a friendly attitude.
- A willingness to obtain the relevant unit standards or an equivalent qualification approved by Ryman within 18 months of starting.
