About the Role
We are currently seeking compassionate individuals to fill multiple Caregiver positions at Rowena Jackson Retirement Village in Invercargill. To be considered for this role, candidates must meet one of the following qualifications: a Level 3 Health and Wellbeing certificate or equivalent with at least two years of relevant experience, or a Level 4 Health and Wellbeing certificate or equivalent.
We are looking for team members who genuinely empathize with the elderly and are committed to creating a wonderful living and working environment within our village. The role requires a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week, which may include weekend shifts. The hourly wage ranges from $27.88 to $30.40, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
As a Caregiver, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing care and assistance with personal needs as outlined in the care plan and under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
- Observing and promptly reporting any changes in a resident's status or behavior to the Registered Nurse or senior staff.
- Ensuring the safety, privacy, and comfort of residents at all times.
- Demonstrating a caring attitude by understanding residents' needs and offering support.
- Documenting the care provided to residents in an objective and timely manner.
