Description
About the Company
Health NZ Counties Manukau is a dynamic and progressive organization that leads the way in innovative healthcare delivery within the New Zealand Public Health Sector. Our mission is to achieve equity in key health indicators for Māori, Pacific, and communities facing health disparities. We are committed to developing and implementing plans that address local needs to enhance health and wellbeing in the Counties Manukau region. Our primary facilities include Middlemore Hospital, Kidz First Hospital, and Manukau Health Park.
As part of Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, we play a vital role in the operation of the national health service. We prioritize a diverse and inclusive workforce, enabling us to better understand and serve our community. We warmly welcome applications from individuals in our diverse Māori, Pacific, disabled, and rainbow communities.
About the Role
We invite midwives from around the world who are interested in relocating to beautiful New Zealand to join our team. At Counties Manukau, you will work in a midwifery-driven environment that is dedicated to meeting the needs of our mothers, infants, and families while supporting our midwives’ commitment to providing exceptional care.
Our core values—Whakawhanaungatanga (Valuing everyone), Manaakitanga (Kindness), Kotahitanga (Together), and Rangatiratanga (Excellence)—reflect our dedication to serving a diverse and vibrant community. With the highest birthing population in New Zealand, we had 8,195 women give birth in our region in 2020, offering a wide range of experiences and opportunities for professional growth.
We offer roles across various midwifery settings, including midwifery-led birthing units, community midwifery teams, and complex high-risk midwifery environments. We provide comprehensive orientation to our services and actively support ongoing professional development.
Living in Counties Manukau allows for a rich Kiwi lifestyle. Enjoy beautiful beaches, rural living, and scenic bush walks, all while being conveniently located on the main train line and close to the central city. We have both full-time and part-time rostered positions available.
