About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our Construction team with an immediate start available. In this role, you will be involved in a variety of projects that require a strong foundation in formwork and retaining wall construction, as well as boxing when necessary.
While prior experience in similar roles is highly desirable, candidates with a WTR (Wheels, Tracks, and Rollers) endorsement will be favored, although this role primarily focuses on carpentry. Some machine operation may also be included from time to time.
As this position is within the Civil sector, candidates should be prepared to work in outdoor environments that may be dirty. This role is not suited for individuals seeking townhouse or house-building projects.
We value effective communication, reliability, and a positive attitude, as teamwork is essential in our operations. Given the project deadlines, the work schedule will typically be Monday to Friday from 6:30 or 7:00 AM to 5:00 or 5:30 PM, with occasional Saturday mornings required, and advance notice will be provided.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter
- WTR endorsement is not necessary but is preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Effective communication skills
- Willingness to assist colleagues as needed
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
- Professional demeanor, understanding that you are representing the client
Benefits
We offer a starting rate of $29 to $33 per hour, with full personal protective equipment (PPE) provided. This position has the potential to transition from temporary to permanent employment.
You will have the opportunity to further your training and development while working with a down-to-earth and hardworking team.
Working hours are Monday to Friday from 6:30 or 7:00 AM to 5:00 or 5:30 PM.
