About the Role
We are currently looking for an experienced High Voltage Electrician or Electrical Fitter to join our team in either New Plymouth or Hawera. This position involves working on substations within the Taranaki region. Whether you have prior high voltage experience or are seeking a transition from industrial work, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing electrical fitting services that include the construction, maintenance, and fault diagnosis and rectification of all network equipment and installations.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should have the following qualifications and skills:
- Relevant EWRB registration and practising licence
- Current Class 1 driver's licence (Class 2 preferred)
- Comprehensive knowledge of substations, including electrical test equipment, systems, and procedures
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Physical stamina to perform manual labour, often in challenging conditions
