About the Role We are currently seeking a full-time Accounts and Administration Support Officer to join our dedicated team on a fixed-term contract until June 30, 2026. This position is based in the Rimutaka Administration Building, located outside the main prison facility. The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, and you will receive cross-training in all areas. In this position, you will support our in-house Industries group, which includes teams in Catering, Laundry, Printshop, Grounds Maintenance, and Distribution. Your primary focus will be to provide general office accounts and administration support to these internal customers. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should possess strong reconciliation skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a customer-focused attitude. Your core responsibilities will include: - Electronic receipting of purchase orders - Data entry tasks - Creation of accounts receivable invoices and journals - Execution of other general office accounting duties You should thrive in a busy environment, be capable of multitasking, adhere to strict policies and procedures, and exercise sound judgment in prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines. Other key requirements include: - A strong work ethic, time management, and organizational skills - The ability to work effectively within a team - Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as familiarity with SAP - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong interpersonal skills to interact confidently and professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds - Understanding of our work environment and the necessary safety protocols - A willingness to learn new skills quickly, follow instructions, and ask relevant questions - A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and a focus on compliance Benefits The salary for this role begins at $64,717, with a maximum of $68,434 per annum. The final salary will be determined based on your transferable skills and experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
