Description
About the Company
Health NZ Counties Manukau is a dynamic and progressive organization leading innovative healthcare delivery within the New Zealand Public Health Sector. Our mission focuses on achieving equity in key health indicators for Māori, Pacific, and other communities facing health disparities. We are dedicated to developing and implementing plans tailored to local needs to enhance the health and well-being of the Counties Manukau region. Our main facilities include Middlemore Hospital, Kidz First Hospital, and Manukau Health Park.
As part of Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, we oversee the daily operations of the health system, delivering services at local, district, regional, and national levels. We are committed to providing excellent healthcare for all New Zealanders, fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce to better serve our community. We encourage applications from individuals representing our diverse Māori, Pacific, disabled, and rainbow communities.
About the Role
We are actively seeking midwives from around the world who are interested in relocating to beautiful New Zealand. In our midwifery-driven environment, we prioritize meeting the needs of mothers, infants, and families while supporting our midwives' commitment to delivering exceptional care.
Our core values of Whakawhanaungatanga (Valuing everyone), Manaakitanga (Kindness), Kotahitanga (Together), and Rangatiratanga (Excellence) guide our efforts to serve our diverse and vibrant community. With the highest birthing population of any district in New Zealand—8,195 women gave birth in our region in 2020—Counties Manukau offers a wealth of experience.
We provide a variety of midwifery opportunities across different settings, including midwifery-led birthing units, community midwifery teams, and complex high-risk environments. To ensure a smooth transition, we offer comprehensive orientation and actively support professional development.
Living in Counties Manukau presents numerous lifestyle opportunities, with access to beautiful beaches, rural living, and native bush walks, while remaining well-connected to the city via the main train line.
We have both full-time and part-time rostered positions available.
