    About the Company Located in Wellington, Aquaheat has been a leader in providing high-quality building services solutions since its establishment in 1950. Under our AquaFire brand, we have built a solid reputation over the past 25 years for delivering expert design, installation, and commissioning of fire protection solutions in the Wellington region. About the Role We are currently seeking a Sprinkler Supervisor to join our expanding team in Wellington. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering 40 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will receive competitive remuneration ranging from $48.00 to $55.00 per hour, commensurate with their experience. As a Sprinkler Supervisor, you will report directly to the Fire Sprinkler Manager. Your responsibilities will include leading the Fire Sprinkler Installation Team, which consists of Sprinkler Fitters, Apprentices, Trade Assistants, and Specialist Subcontractors. You will work closely with the Fire Protection Sprinkler Manager and/or Project Manager to manage daily operations effectively and support the financial success of the projects. Key duties include: - Leading your team with effective motivation and guidance to meet project goals set by management. - Ensuring high-quality, professional, and efficient service to our head contractors and clients. - Upholding legislative compliance and adherence to health and safety standards. - Striving to identify and implement improvements in team effectiveness, efficiency, and safety. - Building strong relationships with contractors and clients to exceed their expectations. - Contributing to the overall success of the branch and championing new ideas and initiatives. Requirements To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience: - Relevant professional or technical tertiary qualifications. - A background in fire sprinklers, with understanding of design or estimating skills. - A minimum of three years of supervisory experience in the fire protection industry, preferably in an installation environment. - At least five years of post-trade experience. - Knowledge of building and service regulations and statutory obligations. - Ability to scope and price sprinkler remedial works, with experience in quoted jobs ranging from $5,000 to $50,000. - Proven ability to meet deadlines while managing diverse tasks. - A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and experience working within occupational health and safety guidelines. Additionally, candidates should have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, sound industry and product knowledge, and a proactive mindset. Being a team player is essential.
