We pride ourselves on creating an inclusive environment where our clients can thrive. About the Role We are currently seeking a permanent part-time Support Worker in Gisborne. This role entails approximately seven hours of work per week on a fixed roster, with the potential for increased hours over time. The scheduled shifts are as follows: - Tuesday: 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM - Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM - Sunday: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM As a Support Worker, you will assist individuals in their homes and communities, helping them lead fulfilling and meaningful lives. Your support will enable them to pursue personal dreams and goals, whether it involves swimming, attending sporting events, engaging in arts and crafts, going to the movies, or shopping. The possibilities are endless. Our Support Workers operate as part of a dedicated team, providing 24/7 support, with opportunities for additional sleepover payments included in some rosters. Requirements We are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping others. Ideal candidates will possess: - Kindness and understanding, with good communication skills - Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, especially working with youth - A full driver's license and access to your own vehicle - A desire to support people in learning new skills and achieving their goals - Initiative, energy, and an outgoing personality, with the ability to think creatively - Respect for diverse perspectives and lifestyles, as the individuals we support come from various backgrounds with different needs and interests - Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness are essential in this role Benefits We value our employees and take pride in providing comprehensive training and support.
