About the Role
We are currently seeking a Caregiver to join our friendly team at Kiri Te Kanawa Retirement Village in Gisborne. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.
To be considered for this position, you must meet one of the following requirements:
- Hold a Level 3 Health and Wellbeing certificate or its equivalent along with two years of relevant experience, or
- Hold a Level 4 Health and Wellbeing certificate or its equivalent.
We are looking for individuals who possess a genuine empathy for the elderly and are committed to creating a wonderful environment for both residents and staff. The role involves a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week, which may include weekend shifts. The hourly wage ranges from $27.88 to $31.16, depending on experience.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with care and personal needs as outlined in the care plan and under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
- Observing and promptly reporting any changes in a resident's status or behavior to the Registered Nurse or senior staff member.
- Ensuring the safety, privacy, and comfort of residents at all times.
- Demonstrating compassion by understanding residents' needs and providing appropriate support.
- Documenting care provided to residents accurately and in a timely manner.
