About the Role
We are seeking a Parts Advisor to join our team. In this role, your main responsibility will be to ensure the efficient operation of our parts department. You will play a critical role in maintaining a steady supply of parts for our service department, sales department, and external customers. You will work closely with the Parts and Service Teams and report directly to the Group Parts Manager.
Key Responsibilities
As the first point of contact for our parts department, you will handle queries via phone, email, and in person. You will collaborate with the Parts Manager to achieve distributor parts targets and monthly sales objectives. Building strong relationships with local workshop trade customers to maximize mechanical trade parts sales will also be a key focus.
Your tasks will include providing accurate parts knowledge and advice to both internal and external customers, processing customer invoices and receipts, entering and invoicing stock, and assisting with the unpacking and dispatch of parts orders when required. You will also be responsible for parts planning, ensuring that standard parts are ordered three days in advance for service jobs, achieving accurate stock counts, and maintaining an efficient supply of parts.
You will assist with customer inquiries, stay updated on literature, bulletins, policies, and procedures, and ensure that your role is carried out in a professional and timely manner to guarantee complete customer satisfaction. Additional duties may include assisting with stocktaking and adhering to company policies, procedures, and quality standards while maintaining confidentiality of customer and colleague information.
About You
We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills and an understanding of the importance of building trust and rapport to foster long-lasting relationships. You should be highly organized, process-oriented, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in CRM systems is essential, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
Attention to detail, strong data entry and documentation skills, as well as excellent problem-solving abilities are crucial for this role. You should be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. A current driver's license (Restricted or higher) is also required.
This is a full-time position, with hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, and rostered Saturdays.
