About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and highly skilled Clinical Physiologist to join our dynamic team at Waikato Hospital. In this part-time position, you will work 24 hours per week and have the opportunity to make a real impact on patient care while further developing your skills. In this role, you will perform various physiological assessments such as ECGs, Holter monitoring, event monitoring, blood pressure monitoring, and exercise tolerance testing. You will also contribute to essential tasks within the physiology department.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform a range of physiological assessments, including ECG, Holter monitoring, exercise tolerance testing, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Interpret test results and provide clinical reports to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new clinical protocols and practices.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior staff and trainees.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and attend relevant clinical meetings.
About the Team/Service
At Waikato Hospital, we are the regional hub for healthcare services across the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Lakes, Tairawhiti, and Taranaki districts. Our Clinical Physiology team may be small, but we are dynamic and work closely with a multidisciplinary group of cardiologists, Medical Imaging Technologists, nurses, and healthcare assistants. Together, we focus on delivering exceptional patient care in a positive, supportive, and collaborative work environment.

About You
To be considered for the role of Clinical Physiologist, you will need to have:
- A Certificate in Physiological Measurement (CPM)
- A current APC as a Cardiac Physiology technician
- Registration with the Clinical Physiologists Registration Board
- Registration with the SCT
- Experience in performing and interpreting a wide range of physiological tests in a clinical setting
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
- A commitment to delivering the highest standards of patient care
