Access/EWP Field Service Technician

We are committed to delivering excellence in everything we do, and we are currently seeking an experienced Access/EWP Field Service Technician to join our Regional Support Workshop. About the Role In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of a diverse range of access equipment, including scissor lifts, cherry pickers, and boom lifts. Your expertise will also be vital in inspecting and certifying our equipment to ensure safety and reliability. You will provide expert assistance to both colleagues and customers, both in our branches and at customer sites. Key responsibilities include: - Repairing and maintaining various access equipment - Conducting inspections and certifications of our access equipment - Providing assistance to colleagues and customers - Performing planned maintenance and repairs in the workshop - Attending to breakdowns and completing scheduled maintenance on customer sites Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: - A mechanical trade qualification in Heavy Automotive Plant and Equipment or a similar field - A full Class 1 Driver Licence - A strong understanding of Auto Electrical systems, with experience in 48V systems being advantageous - High attention to detail and strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills - The CBIP1 or EWPA Registered Inspector Programme (RIP) qualification would be highly advantageous, although we are willing to support the right candidate in obtaining this qualification Benefits We offer a comprehensive benefits package, which includes: - Assigned company vehicle - Company-provided phone and tablet - Enhanced employer Kiwisaver contributions (4% contribution, potentially up to 6% based on length of service) - A wide range of employee benefits, including free staff hire from our DIY fleet - Flexible working options and company-funded life insurance If you have any questions about this position, please feel free to contact our Southern Workshop Manager, Iain Millar, at 027 486 1640.
