We are currently seeking an experienced Health Coach who is passionate about empowering individuals, known as whaiora, to take charge of their health. This role is ideal for those looking to make a positive impact by supporting people in making meaningful lifestyle changes.
About the Role
As a Health Coach, you will play a vital role in our general practice by providing high-impact support to 8-10 whaiora each day. Your work will involve guiding individuals, whānau, and groups in setting health goals and implementing positive changes. Key areas of focus will include:
- Encouraging effective management of long-term conditions
- Promoting physical activity through enjoyable pursuits
- Enhancing sleep habits
- Supporting overall wellbeing
To thrive in this position, you should be open to new methods of working and possess a helpful, flexible, and positive disposition. You will need to excel in a fast-paced, client-focused team environment and have experience working with diverse patient groups across various age ranges.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate the following:
- A willingness to embrace innovative approaches to health coaching
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive and adaptable attitude
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain a flexible schedule
- Experience engaging with diverse populations
