About the Company We are a rapidly growing tech company based in New Zealand, recognized for our innovative hardware production capabilities. As we embark on an exciting journey of expansion, fueled by new investments and an ambitious technology roadmap, we are dedicated to enhancing our manufacturing operations to meet the demands of our expanding global customer base. Our team collaborates with renowned tech giants, pushing the boundaries of data and internet speed with advanced intellectual property. About the Role We are seeking a high-impact leader to join our team in a newly created role that will be instrumental in guiding our manufacturing function through its next phase of growth. In this position, you will take full ownership of our manufacturing operations, implementing structured processes, driving improvements, and ensuring we meet the increasing demand for our products. As the leader of our end-to-end manufacturing function, you will be tasked with delivering high-quality products on time and within budget. You will oversee both the production and testing teams, instilling scalable processes while fostering a safe and high-performing work environment. Your focus will include: Operations and Delivery: You will manage all production activities, establish repeatable systems, and ensure that key milestones are achieved on schedule and within scope. People Leadership: You will lead and develop a skilled team, cultivating a strong culture, setting clear expectations, and managing performance effectively. Process and Efficiency: You will drive enhancements in productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness, utilizing lean methodologies and Six Sigma principles to minimize waste and optimize workflows. Technology and Systems: You will oversee manufacturing tools, technologies, and data systems, lead special projects, and support the introduction of new products. Quality and Safety: You will be responsible for audit and compliance outcomes, embedding best practices, and ensuring a zero-defect and zero-incident environment. The Fit We are looking for candidates who have extensive experience leading manufacturing operations in a high-tech or device-focused setting, particularly with mid-volume, high-complexity products. Your practical, systems-driven approach to manufacturing will be crucial as you scale our capabilities while maintaining quality and control. You should have a proven track record of managing teams through periods of growth and change, implementing modern production systems, and enhancing output and performance across delivery, safety, and commercial KPIs. Comfort in navigating complex dependencies and cross-functional collaborations, as well as the ability to lead through ambiguity, will be essential. This role is particularly suited for hands-on leaders who can balance strategic thinking with execution, drive continuous improvement, and create a world-class production environment that adapts to our business needs. Benefits We offer a dynamic work environment that fosters innovation and collaboration. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to exciting projects and be a part of our growth journey. We are committed to providing our employees with comprehensive benefits, professional development opportunities, and a supportive culture that values teamwork and excellence.
