Description
About the Company
At Health NZ Counties Manukau, we are a dynamic and progressive organization dedicated to innovative healthcare delivery within the New Zealand Public Health Sector. Our mission focuses on achieving equity in key health indicators for Māori, Pacific communities, and those facing health disparities. We actively develop and implement plans tailored to the local needs to enhance the health and wellbeing of the Counties Manukau region. Our primary facilities include Middlemore Hospital, Kidz First Hospital, and Manukau Health Park.
As part of Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, we play a critical role in the daily operation of the national health system. Our commitment to ensuring excellent healthcare for all New Zealanders is supported by a diverse and inclusive workforce. We welcome applications from individuals representing our diverse Māori, Pacific, disabled, and rainbow communities.
About the Role
We are eager to connect with midwives from around the globe who are interested in relocating to the picturesque environment of New Zealand. In our midwifery-driven setting, we prioritize the needs of mothers, infants, and families while fostering an environment where our midwives can deliver exceptional care.
Our core values—Whakawhanaungatanga (Valuing everyone), Manaakitanga (Kindness), Kotahitanga (Together), and Rangatiratanga (Excellence)—guide our efforts to serve a vibrant and diverse community. Counties Manukau boasts the highest birthing population in New Zealand, with 8,195 women giving birth in 2020, offering a wealth of experience for midwives.
We offer a variety of positions across different midwifery settings, including midwifery-led birthing units, community midwifery teams, and complex high-risk environments. We provide comprehensive orientation and actively support professional development.
Living in Counties Manukau presents numerous opportunities for enjoying the Kiwi lifestyle, from beautiful beaches to rural living and scenic bush walks, all while being conveniently located on the main train line and close to the city center.
We have both full-time and part-time rostered positions available.
