About the Role We are looking for resilient, energetic, and conscientious individuals to join our team as support workers. This role involves providing essential support to people facing health-related issues or disabilities, helping them to live fulfilling lives. Key responsibilities may include: - Assisting with personal care activities, such as showering and bathing - Helping with household management and meal preparation - Supporting exercise programs - Assisting individuals in accessing the community - Providing bowel, bladder, and catheter care - Handling moving and manual transfers using hoists - Supporting with medication management Job Location: Tokoroa, Putaruru, Tirau Employment Type: Part-Time (Up to 29 Hours) We offer a variety of employment opportunities, including casual, part-time, and full-time positions, which we will discuss further during the recruitment process. The work schedule will involve rotating rosters, including morning, evening, and weekend shifts. Candidates should meet the following prerequisites: - Previous experience in healthcare is advantageous, but we also welcome those looking to enter the sector, as comprehensive training will be provided - Access to your own vehicle and a Full NZ Driver’s License is essential for this community-based role - Flexibility to travel and work on a rotating roster - A legal right to work in New Zealand is required Benefits We offer a competitive pay band ranging from $24.13 to $30.78 per hour, based on the Pay Equity Settlement 2017, which assesses hourly pay rates according to the equivalency of healthcare qualifications.
