Description
Inspire. Grow. Belong.
About the Company
At BestStart Te Awamutu, we believe that learning is most effective when it is connected to the community. Our center fosters strong relationships with local families and organizations, which enriches our curriculum and supports our tamariki in their growth and development. We are dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive.
About the Role
We are currently seeking an inspiring caregiver or teacher in training to join our dedicated, values-driven team. This is a permanent, full-time position requiring 40 hours of work each week. If you possess a passion for working with young children and a commitment to supporting their development, we would love to hear from you.
In this role, you will play a vital part in helping our tamariki learn, laugh, and grow each day. We are looking for someone who brings energy, empathy, and a genuine love for engaging with young children, particularly those under the age of five. While an Early Childhood Education (ECE) qualification is not mandatory, prior experience with young children and a natural affinity for nurturing their growth is essential.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for all tamariki.
- Encouraging children's development through meaningful play and activities.
- Being a supportive and flexible team member who contributes to the daily rhythm of our center.
- Building warm and trusting relationships with children, whānau, and colleagues.
- Supporting daily center operations and assisting with staff breaks as needed.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about early childhood education, have experience working with young children, and are eager to contribute to our team.
Benefits
At BestStart Te Awamutu, we are committed to your professional growth as much as we are to the development of our tamariki. We offer:
- Ongoing learning opportunities through our Whare Ako online platform.
- Professional development and clear pathways for career progression.
- A $2000 referral bonus for recommending a qualified teacher.
- Discounted childcare, as we understand its significance.
- Subsidized health insurance to support your wellbeing.
