About the Role
We are currently seeking a ward clerk to join our team in Ward 33 North at Middlemore Hospital. This is a part-time, fixed-term position available until June 2026, with morning shifts scheduled on a 7 on, 7 off roster from Monday to Sunday. The morning shifts will typically run from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
In this role, you will interact with various services, including medical, nursing, clerical, orderlies, and clinical staff. You will utilize your excellent customer service skills while engaging with patients, their families, visitors, and general practitioners.
About You
To thrive in this role, you will ensure that the wards are properly maintained and prepared for patient admissions. Effective recording and filing of patient information is a critical aspect of the position.
To be successful, you should meet the following requirements:
- Hold an NCEA level qualification
- Have proven customer service experience
- Possess intermediate computer skills or literacy
- Knowledge of iPMS/WiMS is desirable but not essential
