About the Role
We are currently seeking a Level 4 NZQA trained Support Worker to join our team in a permanent home-based role. This position requires a minimum commitment of 60 hours per fortnight, with the potential to work up to 90 hours. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping our kiritaki achieve their identified goals and improve their overall wellbeing.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting kiritaki in reaching their personal goals and following the individual support plans.
- Assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, meal preparation, and mobility support.
- Helping with home management duties, which involve cleaning and organizing spaces to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for our clients.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification.
- Possess a valid New Zealand driver’s license and have access to a car for safe and independent travel between client locations in the Invercargill region.
- Be available to work rotating rostered shifts, which may include days, afternoons, nights, wake-over/sleep-over shifts, and weekends.
- Have a minimum of 6 to 12 months of experience in a home-based care role, demonstrating the ability to work independently in this environment.
- Be able to commit to a minimum of 60 hours per fortnight.
