We are currently seeking qualified HVAC Engineers with commercial experience to join our team for an exciting opportunity at McMurdo Station in Antarctica during the Summer of 2025/26. About the Role This unique role involves working on a large commercial construction building project in one of the most remote and stunning locations on Earth. We are looking for dedicated team players who are willing to work hard, pitch in on various tasks, and support each other throughout the deployment. The deployment period is expected to run from approximately October 2025 through to March 2026. Qualified HVAC Engineers will need experience with boilers, HVAC fans, unit heaters, hydronic pumps, wall radiators, and pipe fitting. Requirements To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria: - Only New Zealand and US Citizens with New Zealand or US passports currently and permanently residing in New Zealand can apply. - Vaccination against Flu, Tdap, and MMR is required. - Candidates must be comfortable with long-term deployments; these roles are not 'fly in, fly out.' - The work schedule involves long hours, six days a week. - Start dates are approximate and contingent upon passing medical and dental checks, obtaining security clearance, and ice flight availability. - A pre-employment drug and alcohol test is mandatory. - A Full Class 1 NZ Driver License and a clean criminal record are required. - Candidates must be prepared for a lengthy application process and should demonstrate patience throughout. - Medical and dental examinations will need to be conducted in Tauranga, with costs for testing and flights covered for those traveling from outside the Bay of Plenty.
