About the Role We are currently seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our Platypus store in Rotorua. In this exciting role, you will support the Store Manager in leading a dedicated team of casual staff. You will work collaboratively to drive sales, achieve key performance indicators (KPIs), and deliver exceptional customer service. The role involves a range of responsibilities, including: - Ensuring the efficient operation of the store to meet sales targets, maintain store presentation, manage visual merchandising, control stock levels, and oversee wage costs and shrinkage. - Motivating your team to achieve optimal results in KPIs and added value targets. - Monitoring sales performance closely to reach daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly targets, acknowledging outstanding achievements and identifying areas for improvement. - Managing wage costs effectively in line with weekly targets and company rostering standards. - Coaching and mentoring your team to foster high morale and support individual development through training and succession planning. - Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety (OH&S) regulations at both state and national levels. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: - Demonstrated experience as a full-time or senior casual sales assistant, key holder, supervisor, or 3IC. - A motivated and driven attitude with a "Make it Happen" mindset. - A passion for leading and inspiring a team to achieve success. - A proven track record in driving sales and meeting KPIs and targets. - Operational excellence, including experience with stock control and visual merchandising.
