About the Role We are currently seeking experienced Demolition Supervisors and Asbestos Class A Supervisors to lead asbestos removal and demolition projects for our client based in Petone, who has sites throughout the Wellington region. What’s in it for you? - Free on-site parking at the client’s yard - Weekly pay - Potential for ongoing work with this client - The chance to join a busy, growing health and safety-oriented team What you will be doing In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including: - Planning and Preparation: You will develop and implement asbestos removal control plans while ensuring site readiness and compliance with regulations. - Supervision: Overseeing the removal processes, including testing, air monitoring, clearance procedures, and decontamination. - Compliance: Ensuring that all work adheres to health and safety standards, particularly those related to asbestos regulations. - Documentation: Maintaining safe work method statements (SWMS), job safety analysis (JSA), quality assurance (QA), and all relevant site documentation. - Team Management: Leading by example, effectively delegating tasks, and training and mentoring site staff. - Communication: Liaising with project teams, licensed assessors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination. - Resource Management: Keeping the project on track by adhering to program and resource plans. - Problem Solving: Addressing onsite challenges and finding efficient solutions.
