About the Role We are currently seeking passionate General Practitioners (GPs) to join our Rural Generalist Team. If you have an interest in Rural Generalism and enjoy working across a broad clinical scope, we invite you to become part of our dedicated team. The Rural Generalist Team consists of motivated and supportive Senior Medical Officers (SMOs), including fellows and trainees of DRHMNZ and RNZCGP, as well as FACEMs and FACRRMs. Our team covers a diverse range of services, including primary care, urgent care, emergency medicine, general medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics, and obstetrics/gynaecology. Additionally, we collaborate with in-house specialists in psychiatry, anaesthetics, and general surgery, as well as having partnerships with various specialties to support both local care and tertiary transfers. Requirements To be considered for this role, you should be a vocationally registered GP or on the pathway to achieving this. You must also have the ability to gain registration with the New Zealand Medical Council.
