Description
About the Company
At our organization, we are committed to delivering high-quality health care services to our community on the West Coast. We believe in collaboration and the strength of many voices working together to achieve our goals. Our Adult Mental Health and Addiction Services are dedicated to providing comprehensive support in a rural health setting.
About the Role
We are seeking applications from psychiatrists interested in joining our team in the rural health environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in the ongoing development of rural specialties and contribute to integrated services across the Coast. You will have the chance to design sustainable mental health services for the future and may also become a member of the Rural Special Interest Group of the RANZCP.
Our mental health service is small yet dynamic, comprised of five full-time equivalent psychiatrists who work collaboratively with a stable and experienced workforce. Together, we provide specialist services to a diverse population of approximately 32,000 people. We prioritize collegial relationships and professional development and are open to new ideas that enhance our service delivery.
The role requires flexibility, as the work is diverse. As a generalist psychiatrist, your responsibilities may include general adult psychiatry (both community and inpatient), addiction services, care for older individuals, and working with children and adolescents. The specific clinical responsibilities will be tailored to your experience, interests, and the needs of the service.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who share our commitment to the community and are dedicated to excellence in rural health care. Successful applicants will demonstrate flexibility, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for providing comprehensive mental health services.
Benefits
Joining our team means becoming part of a supportive and dedicated community. We offer competitive benefits, flexible working arrangements, and a relocation scheme for those who choose to join us in this rewarding role.
