About the Role We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Automotive Technician to join our brand new service department at our Hamilton Volkswagen and Skoda dealership. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art workshop located in Te Rapa. The successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications and attributes: - A relevant Level 4 qualification or at least three years of industry experience - A neat and professional appearance - A proactive attitude towards work and teamwork - Computer literacy - Ability to thrive under pressure - Strong diagnostic skills - Relevant automotive qualifications - A current Driver's License - WOF certification is an advantage - A reliable, honest, and transparent work ethic - High standards of mechanical workmanship and attention to detail - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English - Great time management abilities This role typically involves an average of 40 hours of work per week, with rostered Saturdays (8 AM to 12 PM) approximately once a month. We offer a competitive hourly rate ranging from $32 to $38, based on the qualifications, skills, and experience you bring to our team.
