About the Role
We are excited to announce a new opportunity as part of the Manukau Health Park expansion, specifically aimed at enhancing eye healthcare services in South Auckland. We invite applications from qualified Consultants, particularly those with experience and a strong interest in medical retina ophthalmology. This is a permanent position that offers flexibility, making it ideal for individuals seeking a balanced work environment while gaining valuable clinical experience at Counties Manukau District.
About the Team/Service/Location
Our Ophthalmology department is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, providing a wide range of secondary care ophthalmology services. You will primarily work at the Manukau Health Park (MHP), one of New Zealand's leading outpatient facilities. Occasionally, you may be required to work in different locations across the Northern Region as we pursue a more integrated regional approach.

About You
We are looking for candidates who bring diverse backgrounds and experiences that align with our commitment to excellence and inclusivity. To qualify for this role, you must have completed advanced medical training in the Medical Retina Subspecialty and fulfill the essential requirements.
Candidates should possess an Ophthalmology or Medical Retina Fellowship or an equivalent qualification. Additionally, you must hold the FRANZCO qualification and have current vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
