About the Role
We are seeking a New Zealand registered Clinical Psychologist, Child and Family Psychologist, or Educational Psychologist to join our Community Child Health Team at Waitemata on a fixed-term basis at 0.8 FTE. In this role, you will collaborate with an established Child Psychologist to deliver evidence-based psychological assessments and manage a variety of psychological, physical, or cognitive impairments in children and young people.
You will also provide support to parents of children with psychological needs and engage in clinical consultation within our multidisciplinary child health team. About the Team/Service/Location
Our Community Child Health Teams operate from two primary locations: Waitakere Hospital and Shea Terrace on the North Shore. As part of this role, you will be expected to travel between both sites.
About You
To be successful in this position, you should possess:
- 3-5 years of experience working with children, demonstrating a comprehensive range of clinical expertise
- A strong passion for working with children and families
- Proficiency in conducting high-quality psychological assessments and interventions
- A goal-oriented and outcome-focused approach
- A commitment to achieving equity through partnership, excellence, and whānau-centered care
