    About the Company We are a well-established workshop located in the scenic Airlie Beach, Queensland. Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality service and support to our clients, and we are currently seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join us. If you are looking for a new opportunity in a beautiful location, we would love to hear from you. About the Role As a Diesel Mechanic in our workshop, you will be responsible for routine servicing and maintenance of heavy vehicles and diesel equipment. You will use your expertise to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical faults, ensuring that we provide top-quality workmanship. Our workshop is tidy and well-equipped, and we offer a manageable workload with strong support from our team. The position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, with an on-call roster only once every 4 to 8 weeks. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should be a qualified Diesel Mechanic with hands-on experience. Strong fault-finding and mechanical repair skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Good communication skills and a pride in your trade are also important. A full New Zealand Driver's Licence (Class 2 or higher preferred) is required. Additional requirements include: - Eligibility to work in Australia - Passing a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test - A clear Ministry of Justice check - New Zealand Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or valid working rights in Australia Benefits We offer a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to work in a well-equipped workshop.
