We are a long-standing client in the automotive industry, located in the picturesque Airlie Beach, Queensland. Our well-established workshop team is known for its professionalism and quality service. We are currently seeking a qualified and reliable Diesel Mechanic to enhance our operations.
About the Role
We offer a competitive hourly rate and a tidy, well-equipped workshop environment. Our team enjoys a manageable workload with strong support, allowing for a great work-life balance with a Monday to Friday schedule. Additionally, our on-call roster is only required once every 4 to 8 weeks, making it easier for you to plan your personal time.
In this role, you will be responsible for routine servicing and maintenance of heavy vehicles and diesel equipment. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical faults, utilizing your trade expertise to ensure top-quality workmanship.
Requirements
We are looking for a qualified Diesel Mechanic with hands-on experience. Strong fault-finding and mechanical repair skills are essential, along with being a team player who communicates effectively. It is important that you take pride in your trade and have a NZ Full Driver's Licence (Class 2 or higher preferred).
Additional requirements include passing a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test and providing a clear Ministry of Justice check. Candidates must be New Zealand Citizens, Permanent Residents, or hold valid working rights in Australia.
