About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our team at the Queenstown Airport workshop. In this hands-on role, you will work alongside skilled technicians to maintain and repair airport plant and equipment. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that our machines operate smoothly. Ideally, you will have experience with automotive electrical systems (12- and 24-volt), as well as light to heavy mechanical equipment, electric vehicles, and hydraulic systems. Previous experience working with ground support equipment or in an airport environment would be advantageous. This position requires availability for on-call shifts after hours.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A full driver’s license
- A police background check, as required for airport airside access
- Preferable endorsements (F, W, T, R), though they are not essential
- Strong customer service skills along with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships
- Proficiency in computer skills
- A positive, proactive attitude and a proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- A willingness to learn about new plant and equipment
