About the Role We have a permanent, long-term vacancy for an Air Conditioning Technician/Heat Pump Installer. We are looking for a reliable and highly motivated individual to become a valuable member of our friendly team. The role involves a variety of tasks including installations, commissioning, repairs, and maintenance services. Our work standards are high, and we are dedicated to offering top-notch products and services to our customers. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: - A background in HVAC servicing, repairs, and installations - A Trade Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (preferred) - At least three years of relevant work experience - Approved Handler/Filler Certificates (advantageous) - A valid New Zealand Driver's Licence - A strong commitment to health and safety - The ability to complete required documentation efficiently Your responsibilities will include: - Installation of split, ducted, cassette, and multi systems - Pipe-fitting, welding, and ductwork installation - Commissioning and testing of systems - Service and maintenance of both commercial and domestic HVAC systems - Diagnosis and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems The ideal candidate will: - Be self-motivated and capable of working independently (if on a limited licence, within the limits of your role) - Be able to diagnose technically challenging situations with the appropriate tools - Exhibit a high level of quality in their workmanship - Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills - Have a strong work ethic and willingness to take on varied roles when needed - Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor with customers - Enjoy being part of a motivated team - Have the ability to train and mentor apprentices (advantageous) You should be available to start immediately, typically working Monday to Friday with a minimum of 35-40 hours per week.
