About the Role
We are excited to offer a Cashier opportunity in our Wairau Park store, specifically within the Electrical department. This full-time position is ideal for emerging retail professionals eager to make their mark in a successful global business. As an entry-level role, you will focus on delivering outstanding customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience for our customers. We will provide comprehensive training on our point of sale system, equipping you for success from day one.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Utilizing our point of sale and customer service system to accurately process sales, gift vouchers, returns, and credit claims.
- Maintaining stationary supplies, which include Eftpos, finance, and manual docket books.
- Ensuring the Small Appliance department is well-presented.
- Assisting with sales and operational tasks, such as participating in stocktakes.
- Working on a 7-day roster, which will include weekends and public holiday shifts.
About You
We are looking for candidates who possess a positive attitude and can be the welcoming face of our department. Key attributes we seek include:
- A quick learner who is resilient and has an interest in the retail industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A basic level of computer literacy and numeracy skills.
- Previous customer-facing experience is desirable.
- Availability to work on weekends and public holidays.
