About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and skilled dual-trained Respiratory Senior Medical Officer (SMO) to join our progressive team in March 2026. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality respiratory care to a diverse population. You will work across two hospitals in North and West Auckland, collaborating with various departments to deliver innovative services.
Our respiratory service is currently in an exciting phase of development, offering you the chance to expand your experience and expertise. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with other respiratory services across Metro Auckland, ensuring comprehensive care for our patients.
Your Role
As a Respiratory Senior Medical Officer, you will contribute to the largest General Medicine service in New Zealand, providing coordinated and specialized acute medicine and ward-based care. You will have the support of collaborative colleagues in a nurturing environment. We offer a balanced work-life schedule, with a 1:6 after-hours roster that promotes both professional and personal well-being.
About You
To be considered for this position, you should be a dual-trained Respiratory Physician, either already holding or eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. We are looking for individuals who are committed to delivering high-quality patient care and thrive in a team-oriented environment.
