About the Role
We are seeking a Specialist Otolaryngologist (ORL) and Head and Neck Surgeon to join our team on a permanent part-time basis (0.5 FTE). In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering high-quality clinical care to the residents of the Waitemata Health region and their families. You will manage dedicated elective clinic and theatre sessions across both hospital sites and participate in the regional after-hours and weekend on-call rotation to address acute ORL presentations at Auckland City Hospital.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in ORL surgery, with training and interests spanning all ORL sub-specialties, particularly in Laryngology and Head and Neck surgery. You will be supported by our senior leadership team, including our Clinical Director for ORL and the Operations Manager, as you work closely with a multidisciplinary team of Senior Medical Officers, health professionals, and ORL Clinical Nurse Specialists.
Requirements
We invite applicants who hold the qualification of FRCS or its equivalent and are eligible for Specialist registration with the New Zealand Medical Council. A strong ability to collaborate effectively within a multicultural team environment is essential for success in this role.
