Driver - Class 5

About the Role We are looking for a skilled operator to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for operating vehicles and equipment following established training, instructions, and company regulations. You will perform daily maintenance and safety checks on your vehicle and/or equipment as required. Your duties will also include operating computerized systems and handling loading and unloading tasks, as well as the transportation and disposal of various waste materials in accordance with both company and client requirements. Additionally, you will undertake servicing, delivery, and processing of waste as necessary. Requirements To be considered for this role, you should possess a Class 5 NZ License and have moderate heavy vehicle driving experience. We value those who can work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting. A mechanical aptitude is essential, and knowledge or experience in the waste industry is desirable. Benefits This position offers a competitive salary of $87,500 and is based at our facility located at 301 Marsh's Road, Christchurch. The role requires a commitment of 48.10 hours per week, with shifts averaging 9.62 hours per day, scheduled between 4:30 AM and 11:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Occasional Saturday work may be required.
