About the Role
In this position, you will serve as a Senior Advisor in a project-oriented compliance role, reporting to a respected leader within our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to help deliver regulatory transformation across key frameworks, including the Contract of Insurance (COFI), Financial Markets Conduct Act (FMCA), and the Privacy Act. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our business remains aligned with these regulations and is prepared for audits.
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the implementation of COFI, updates related to the Contract of Insurance, and changes to the Privacy Act.
- Evaluating and embedding Anti-Money Laundering (AML) initiatives and identifying potential system upgrades.
- Overseeing compliance efforts related to FMCA, Financial Services Legislation Amendment Act (FSLAA), and FMA Section 25.
- Maintaining and aligning obligation registers and attestations with audit expectations.
- Collaborating cross-functionally to integrate regulatory compliance throughout the organization.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong compliance background with hands-on experience in regulatory change.
- Exposure to both the interpretation and practical delivery of regulations.
- The ability to work proactively and challenge existing processes as necessary.
