About the Role
In this pivotal leadership position based in Auckland, you will shape the organization's risk strategy and compliance culture. As the architect and steward of our Risk and Compliance frameworks, you will provide guidance to the Executive and Board. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the assurance program and regulatory reporting, with a focus on areas such as Anti-Money Laundering (AML), compliance, privacy, and health and safety.
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring and maintaining risk and compliance obligations, including Board reporting
- Liaising with regulators and overseeing all regulatory reporting
- Leading internal compliance communications
- Chairing the Risk and Compliance Committee and the Health & Safety Committee
- Leading and mentoring a small team of two, along with a third dotted line report
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A strong track record in financial services with substantial risk and compliance experience
- In-depth knowledge of New Zealand regulatory frameworks
- Strong leadership, coaching, and presentation skills
