About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Office Administrator to join our hardworking and close-knit team. In this role, you will be more than just an administrator; you will be a vital part of our operations, contributing to a culture that values initiative, trust, and reliability. The position is full-time, with hours from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. We offer a competitive salary in the range of $60,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience, along with KiwiSaver, standard annual leave, and a workplace where your contributions truly matter. This role provides a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to advance their career while making a significant impact in a well-established and growing business in Whangārei. Key Duties Your responsibilities will include: - Developing, organizing, and maintaining both physical and digital filing systems - Ordering office supplies and ensuring adequate stock levels - Scheduling jobs, meetings, and appointments while maintaining calendars - Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations - Implementing and improving office procedures to increase efficiency - Assisting with the onboarding and training of new staff - Performing general administrative tasks, including preparing quotes and invoicing - Liaising with and supporting contractors and clients to ensure the smooth performance of jobs (travel may be required, and a valid driver's license is necessary) - Ensuring all motor vehicles are up to date and booking all services, WOFs, and COFs - Leading weekly team meetings Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate: - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Teams - Strong data entry skills with a keen attention to detail - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - The ability to work both independently and as part of a team - Effective time management skills - Prior experience in a similar administrative role is preferred - A proactive approach to problem-solving alongside strong organizational skills - Great interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively - An energetic and positive attitude, willing to assist wherever needed - A full driver's license Benefits We offer a stable and rewarding work environment where your efforts make a difference.
