About the Role We are looking for skilled and experienced Telehandler Operators who have a strong background in operating Telehandlers and a solid understanding of the construction industry. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for the following: - Operate Telehandlers: You will safely and efficiently operate Telehandlers, ideally with experience in the construction range. - Support Construction Activities: Your expertise in the building industry will be invaluable as you assist with various tasks on construction sites. - Health and Safety: You will adhere to strict health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Essential Requirements To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria: - Experience: You should have significant experience working in the construction industry in New Zealand, particularly in Telehandler operation. - Physical Fitness: You need to be fit, strong, and capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions. - Licences and Endorsements: A full New Zealand Driver’s Licence (Class 1) and NZQA Unit Standard 23637 – Operate a Telehandler (General use) are required. - Drug and Alcohol Test: You must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test. - References: Two verifiable employment references are necessary. - Transport: A reliable personal vehicle to commute to work each day is essential. - Availability: You should be prepared to start early mornings and commit to the demands of the job. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications would be advantageous: - Class 1 or 2 Licence - EWP Training: If the Telehandler is used as a Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP), compliance with AS/NZS 1418 Part 10 2011/AS2550.10 is required, along with EWP training for the operator.
