About the Role We are seeking a Spray Operator/Orchard Hand to join our team and play a vital role in our mission to cultivate thriving crops and maintain our beautiful apple orchards. In this position, you will be primarily responsible for our spraying operations, ensuring the health and vitality of our crops while adhering to strict safety protocols and compliance standards. In addition to spraying, your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks such as mowing, weed spraying, property maintenance, and tree husbandry work. Each day will present new challenges and opportunities for you to showcase your skills and make a significant impact on our operations. Requirements We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications: - A strong commitment to health and safety, with a safety-first attitude in all tasks - Previous experience in crop spraying is preferred, though we are willing to train the right candidate - Flexibility to work varied hours, particularly around spraying schedules and maintenance tasks - A Grow Safe certificate would be an advantage - Mechanical skills and the ability to operate and maintain a diverse range of machinery and tools - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with team members and stakeholders Benefits Joining our team not only means becoming part of a dedicated organization but also provides opportunities for personal and professional growth.
