About the Role We are currently seeking a skilled CoF B Automotive Technician to join our VTNZ Oamaru team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and performance of heavy on-road motor vehicles. We offer a competitive remuneration package, with an hourly rate ranging from $39 to $48, along with secure employment and a variety of development opportunities through our award-winning in-house training. Requirements We are looking for individuals who pay close attention to detail, work well with others, and prioritize customer care. You should be available to work 40 hours per week, with some rostered weekend shifts. While having a CoF B Authority is preferred, it is not a requirement. If you do not possess this qualification, we can assist you in obtaining it through our training center, provided you have experience as a diesel mechanic. You should have at least four years of full-time employment performing repairs and maintenance on all safety aspects of heavy on-road motor vehicles. This experience requirement can be reduced to three years if you hold a Level 4 qualification or higher, which includes the credit and knowledge requirements of the New Zealand Certificate in Heavy Automotive Engineering (NZQF Level 4) or an equivalent qualification. Additionally, you must have a minimum Class 2 NZ driver's license or equivalent.
