About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced Carpenters to join our client's team on various commercial projects in the Dunedin area. This is a rewarding opportunity for skilled professionals to showcase their talents while contributing to iconic construction initiatives. As a Carpenter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of these projects.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Executing carpentry tasks with precision and skill
- Performing formwork and concrete work
- Engaging in timber framing, roofing, and cladding, as well as installing fixtures with attention to detail
- Maintaining a clean and safe worksite at all times
- Collaborating effectively with fellow team members to ensure efficient project completion
Requirements
To excel in this position, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:
- Hands-on experience as a Carpenter in the construction industry in New Zealand or transferable experience from overseas
- A full set of hand and power tools
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in carpentry are preferred
- A strong understanding of safety protocols and a commitment to best practices
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, with some Saturday work potentially required
- Valid open New Zealand working rights and current residency in New Zealand
