About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Class 5 Container Operator to join our highly skilled and dynamic team in Christchurch. In this role, you will operate a modern fleet and bring your container experience to enhance our operations. We value cleanliness and professionalism, so a tidy in-cab presentation is essential. Flexibility is also important to accommodate the varying demands of our business and seasonal requirements. Your focus on safety, maintenance, and vehicle operation will ensure we uphold the high standards our loyal customers and suppliers expect. Work Pattern This is a full-time, permanent position with a regular roster. The typical work schedule includes: - Dayshift: Monday to Friday with availability for some weekends - Average shift length: 10-12 hours What You Bring to the Table We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria: - A valid Class 5 Licence (or equivalent) with at least 2 years of experience - Reliability and flexibility in work availability - An F endorsement and OSH Certificate (preferred but not essential) - Experience operating tractors and skeleton trailers - Strong geographical knowledge of the Canterbury region - An ability to learn new technology quickly - A passion for teamwork and customer service, with a desire to share your experiences Benefits At Hilton Haulage, we believe in providing a supportive and rewarding work environment.
