About the Role We are seeking a Diesel Automotive Technician to join our Christchurch dealership. In this full-time position, you will be instrumental in maintaining and repairing the diesel-powered vehicles that are essential to our operations. Your expertise will help us ensure that our fleet runs at peak performance. What You'll Be Doing In this role, your responsibilities will include: - Diagnosing and repairing faults and malfunctions in diesel engines - Performing scheduled servicing and maintenance on diesel trucks and heavy equipment - Troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems - Demonstrating a thorough understanding of diesel engine technology and its components - Providing exceptional customer service and effectively communicating with clients - Maintaining detailed records of all work completed - Contributing to a safe and efficient workshop environment What We're Looking For We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and skills: - A minimum Level 4 qualification in diesel automotive technology combined with at least three years of relevant experience - A valid Class 1, 2, 4, and 5 driver’s license - Strong technical skills and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines - Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail - Good communication skills with a customer service orientation - A commitment to safety and compliance with industry regulations - The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team What We Offer At Keith Andrews Trucks Ltd, we value our employees and are dedicated to supporting your professional and personal development.
